Bus
We had an enquiry from a family who needed details travelling to Vejer via train and buses through Spain , so I thought a little more info in this area may be helpful to all those eco warriors out there!!. Once you are in Andalucia find your way to Cadiz. This is so you will get the correct bus all the way into Vejer . Here’s a bus timetable (PDF) with all the times from Jerez airport to Jerez bus station and onwards to Cadiz.. Here’s a bus timetable (PDF) going from Cadiz to Vejer ctr and to La Barca de Vejer just outside the town and onto Barbate and Zahara de los Atunes. So, if you’re coming on the Ave, buy your ticket all the way to Cadiz and change at Seville, or if you’re coming from Jerez airport – get a bus to Cadiz (75 mins). There are also several buses a day from Tarifa, Algeciras and La Linea (for Gibraltar), and Malaga and Seville, but these all stop at La Barca de Vejer at the bottom of the hill on the N340, So no good if you have lots of bags , Children , Granny etc you wont get up the hill too fast. You can get a taxi in La Barca . Come on you eco Warriors!!!. |
