Settling In
Through the grand double doored entrance you will find yourself in the ground floor patio, this is our outside dining room and has a large mosaic table to eat and ponder over. It is shady here in the August heat as there are sails that shades the patio in the summer months. Excellent for snoozing under or just whiling away the time watching the house martins as they feed their babies - they love to make nests in our courtyard in June. We have a double bedroom and a twin room with a balcony upstairs - these rooms are tranquil and have beautiful views across the town from the windows. The master bedroom is large with a gorgeous Log-burner for romantic winter holidays and lazy days in bed, it also has a luxury en-suite bathroom with walk in shower and beautiful bath to bathe in. *NEW in 2022* The main shower room is adjacent to the lounge - it has a wet room style with a glass wall to the courtyard making maximum use of natural light. (This has a very low door which is a quirk of this old house, don't forget to duck ) The lounge is also large and cool, with fabulous original beams - plenty of space to relax in the heat of the day. A summer wet room with loo in the courtyard is where we wash the sand off after a busy day on the beach. It is glorious and doubles as a place to take a cool shower when the heat gets too much. The lovely kitchen is modern and fully equipped with a microwave, five-ringed stove top, plenty of pots and pans for keen cooks, double sink, dishwasher, plastic plates and bowls for picnics, high chair, Just off the courtyard is the utility room with washing machine, water heater, spare gas bottles and brollies for the beach, cooler box for the picnics, iron and ironing board. All rooms have fans, mosquito nets and heaters for the cooler months. Parking near to our house is a few hundred yards away in Avenida de San Miguel. We normally drop luggage, shopping, etc. outside Bellido 4 and then go and park. During fiesta times it is better to park in marked car parks (see map). NB: Bellido4 is not suitable for people with disabilities due to steep staircases and uneven flooring. We would recommend that the house is not suitable for children under the age of 10 yrs. |
